About The Promise of Life
Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is the Creator of the universe and the only true and living God who is manifest in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and revealed Word of God fully inerrant and infallible, profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate and equipped for every good work.
We believe in the sinfulness and utter depravity of man who is in need of a Savior and that Jesus Christ, God’s Son, is that Savior and the only means of eternal salvation.
We believe that salvation is not attained by works, nor can we be justified by the law, but that salvation comes by grace through faith and that anyone who confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and believes in his heart that God raised Him from the dead shall be saved, forgiven of his sins and made right with his Maker.
We believe in the Old Testament prophecies and literal virgin birth of Jesus Christ recorded in the New Testament, His sinless life, agonizing suffering and death on the cross, bodily resurrection, public ascension and personal return to earth in power and glory.
We believe in the love of God, when truly revealed, is able to soften man’s hard heart and bring him to genuine repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
We believe in the promise and person of the Holy Spirit who was given as a gift and pledge of our inheritance. He is the one who reveals Christ, leads and guides us into all the truth, helps us to live victorious Christian lives and empowers us for ministry. Thus, the fruit and gifts of the Spirit can and should be in operation today. By living in unbroken fellowship with Him we grow in grace, wisdom and stature with God and with men.
We believe in the New Covenant promise of life that Jesus came to bring. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that you may have life, and have it abundantly.”
We believe that God is building His church (believers in Christ from every generation and nation and people group on earth) and through His church the manifold wisdom of God is now being made known to the rulers and authorities in heavenly places. The church is God’s eternal dwelling place, pillar and support of the truth and His body of which Christ is the head.
We believe in the promise and literal second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ at which time He will execute judgment on the wicked and establish His righteous kingdom on the earth.
